    N-Methyltyramine (NMT), also known as 4-hydroxy-N-methylphenethylamine, is a human trace amine and natural phenethylamine alkaloid found in a variety of plants.     N-Methyltyramine is the methylated version of L-Tyramine (through the addition of a methyl group at the N terminal), a naturally occurring monoamine compound that acts as a catecholamine releasing agent.
